Father spent most of the rest of his life ignoring and emotionally abusing him; forbade any other member of the family to be sweet to him (including his personal butler). Died about 1.5 years before the start of the series, Ren dropped out of high school. Eldest brother put him in Saotome--Ren thought it was so he could be a billboard for their company, in actuality it was a push for him to find his own life to live.
A member of S Class, classmates with Tokiya and Syo. His relationship with Haruka awakened his hidden passion for music. Canon point is shortly after agreeing to join ST☆RISH at the end of episode 10.
Personality Rundown: Charismatic, sweet-talker, and a bit of a ladies' man. Calls it his life's purpose to see the smiling faces of every girl. But says himself that he's "not really interested in guys other than myself," and can be anything between rude and ignoring. Loves to tease, a bit of a troll--neither sex is exempted from this. A show-off and rather competitive.
Music?: Yep, music prodigy. He claims he can get things right on the first take and doesn't need to practice. He mastered the sax in 3 months and entered Saotome Academy in the top class.
